The Digg monster has defeated me; it’s too damned big.
I no longer consider myself a social news and networking n00b. I’ve experimented with a number of social news sites: Digg, Reddit, Shoutwire, Plime, Slashdot and Mixx. Each site has its own quirks, its own audience, and its own rules. Each has its own audience and favorite subject matter. Social news sites aren’t all the same!

A Big Thank You To Subscribers November 15, 2007

I just checked Feedburner for the first time since I’ve signed up and I noticed that I actually have a couple of subscribers (seems to vary between 1 - 3 people, although I’m not sure that I know how to interpret the stats correctly!) I don’t know who exactly you are, but whoever you are, thanks!
By the way, if you’re ever interested in learning more about interacting with other bloggers or readers, you really should check out Caroline Middlebrook’s blog. It’s full of great ideas. Some of her posts actually prompted me to start paying attention to readers (you know, YOU). That’s probably a good thing, because we normally think people are mentally unbalanced when they write talk to themselves…
I hope it’s not snowing wherever you are today, unless you’re sking, skating, or snowmobiling, in which case I hope you have lots of snow! (And you can keep it until April if you really want to, I won’t mind. That’s when snow normally melts around here…)
