Just saw a great little post that I couldn’t agree with more.  The author talks about the benefits of joining Toastmasters, a global organization that helps people improve both their communications and leadership skills in a positive, mutually rewarding environment.

I’ve been a member of Toastmasters for two and a half years and it has really helped me with my communications skills, particularly in front of crowds. It’s a great, self-paced program that provides lots of opportunties for learning and growth. I can’t recommend it enough.

The Toastmasters website features a link to help locate a club near you. Check it out – you will be pleasantly surprised!

Hi Mark,

I have been a member of Toastmasters for 4 years and won 3rd place out of 250 clubs in the humorous speech contest last year. Here is the link if you would like to see the video:

In fact this year I will be representing my Division at the Fall Conference in New York in humor speech and table topics contest. When you get a chance please feel free to leave a comment on my blog:

I have a number of helpful videos there too. Toastmasters membership has something to offer everyone regardless of your line of business. I highly recommend it. You will always get back so much more than you put into it.
