While Digging, I came across an article about phantom Blackberry vibrations which some people apparently experience even when they don’t have their Blackberry with them. This story made me recall an odd, somewhat similar experience when I was still in high school.
I flew to New York City for a weekend during my last year in high school. I left on a Friday night, flew back Sunday PM, then had a two hour late-night drive to get home. I was pretty zonked by the time I finally got home and was pretty tired during the following week.
There were times in class that week when I would feel a weird sensation, like I was on a boat bobbing up and down or forward and backward. Who knows, my body might actually have been jerking around in the same rhythm. The feeling was very similar to what I’d experienced on the airplane, but I experienced it in an environment where I was sitting still and nothing was moving.
I really don’t recall experiencing that again, despite dozens and dozens of air trips during the past ten years. I wonder if it is a phenomenon similar to this phantom Blackberry stuff.
