If you are feeling creatively blocked, or want to try some new things, I highly suggest a book called The Artist’s Way. One of the cornerstone exercises is writing “morning pages”, which is a daily habit of handwriting three pages of… anything really. It’s an exercise to help build up a habit of writing while simultaneously giving you an outlet for negative thoughts and feelings. Although I haven’t really started the entire program, I’ve heard good things about it. The pages themselves are therapeutic and I recommend trying the exercise.
